Frequently asked questions
How is a postpartum doula different from a nanny?
A postpartum doula focuses on the whole family, not just the baby. I support you as you adjust to life with a newborn, offer guidance, and provide emotional and practical support. Unlike a nanny, my focus is not on long-term childcare but on helping you feel confident and supported during the early postpartum weeks/months.
How long do postpartum doula services last?
Depending on your needs, it can last anywhere from a few days to a few months. Every family is different, so there's no set amount of time. I give you the help you need when you need it most. You can book my services for a set period of time or on an as-needed basis.
Do you help with breastfeeding?
Yes, this is part of my services. I can help with things like positioning and latch issues and offer guidance to make feeding as comfortable as possible. If needed, I can also refer you to a lactation consultant for extra support.
Do you offer overnight support?
Not at this time. Right now, I only offer daytime support. However, I can make a referral for overnight support with the BEST postpartum doulas (I would trust them with my own baby if I were having one).
