Frequently asked questions
Does a doula replace my partner?
Nope, not at all! While you are my priority, I'm there to support your partner as well. I can help them feel more confident, address their concerns, and help them be as involved as you both want. I can also take over when he needs a break. I have a blog post about this that you can read to get a better understanding.
Can you still support me if I have a C-section?
Of course! I'm happy to support you for any type of birth. I probably won't be allowed in the room during a c-section, but I'll be with you as long as they let me and be by your side again as soon as I'm allowed!
How do I choose the right doula?
You'll want your doula to be someone you feel comfortable with and trust. Pregnancy and labor are vulnerable times, so you don't want just anyone with you. I offer a free consultation to get to know each other and discuss how I can best support you during your pregnancy and birth. Read this blog post for more tips!
